GET BIS CERTIFICATION FOR COPPER RODS AND BARS FOR ELECTRICAL PURPOSES IS 613:2000

 

Copper Bars and Rods are popular for general applications within the electrical industries such as busbars and transformer components, as well as those where high corrosion resistance is required.

 

BIS is a statutory institution established under the Bureau of Indian Standards Act,1986  to promote harmonious development of the activities of standardization, marking and quality certification of goods and attending to connected matters in the country.

Copper Rods and Bars for Electrical Purposes product has been specified in IS 613:2000 by Bureau of Indian Standards.

SCOPE :

This standard covers the requirements for copper rods and bars for electrical purposes.

RAW MATERIALS :

 

Chemical composition of copper used to manufacture the product shall conform to Grades Cu-ETP and Cu-FRHC of IS 191:2007. No testing of product for chemical composition is required if the copper is ISI marked and received with the manufacturer’s test certificate.
