BIS CERTIFICATION FOR HIGH STRENGTH STRUCTURAL NUTS IS 6623 : 2004

Structural nuts are an important part of many industrial fastener assemblies. They are designed to secure structural bolts to a surface and will install smoothly and reliably when fitted with a properly sized bolt.

High Strength Structural Bolts & Nuts these extensively used in infrastructural sector which are Bridges, Roads, Building and Foundation of heavy machineries. These are manufactures with high quality alloy steel, so that it can withstand wind pressure at high altitude. These are also used in manufacturer of wind mill.

High Strength Structural Nuts product has been specified in IS 6623 : 2004 by Bureau of Indian Standards.

This standard covers the requirements of large series hexagon, high strength structural steel nuts of property classes 8 and 10 in the size range of M 12 to M 36 suitable for use in both friction-type and bearing-type of structural steel connections. Nuts to this standard when matched with the appropriate bolts have been designed to provide an assembly with a high level of assurance against failure by thread stripping on over tightening.
