BIS Certification for Steel Back Flap Hinges under IS 3843


GET BIS CERTIFICATION FOR STEEL BACK FLAP HINGES IS 3843:1995

 

Steel backflap hinges are a multi-purpose hinge for woodworking applications like making lidded boxes or adding in table flaps. Back Flap hinges are generally used for screwing to the face of a door which is too thin to fit other hinges such as Butt hinges. Back Flap hinges are made from mild steel, zinc plated and are offered in various sizes. They are designed to lie flat when in use, making them a great choice for bar or countertops.

 

BIS is a statutory institution established under the Bureau of Indian Standards Act,1986  to promote harmonious development of the activities of standardization, marking and quality certification of goods and attending to connected matters in the country.

Steel back flap hinges product has been specified in IS 3843:1995 by Bureau of Indian Standards.

SCOPE :

·       This standard covers types and the requirements regarding materials, dimensions, manufacture and finish of steel back flap hinges.
