The Government of India issues the Quality Control Orders (QCOs) mandating the use of the Standard Mark under a BIS Certificate of Conformity (CoC). The government made it essential for a variety of reasons, including public interest, human and animal health preservation, environmental safety, the prevention of unfair trade practices, and national security.
We are glad to inform you about an important update on the Indian Standard for Cross Recessed Screws (Quality Control) Order, 2024, which applies to all existing license holders, new applicants, producers, importers, and product dealers.
The Cross Recessed Screws BIS QCO 2024 was issued by the Ministry Of Commerce And Industry Department For the Promotion Of Industry And Internal Trade.

3. Standards Compliance:
Goods or articles of Cross Recessed Screws must adhere to Indian Standard IS 18471 (Part 1): 2023 / ISO 15481:1999 (Fasteners - Cross Recessed Drilling Screws with Tapping Screw Thread Part 1 Pan Head). They should have the Standard Mark under a license from the Bureau according to Scheme-I of Schedule-II to the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.
4. Certification and Enforcement:
